A tribute edition to Petros Themelis and Messini

🙏A SPECIAL EDITION IN HONOR OF PETROS THEMELIS AND MESSENE
✨️♥️ Today, on the anniversary of the birth of the man who dedicated his life to the revival of ancient Messene—our beloved Petros Themelis—and three years after his passing, the Society for Messinian Archaeological Studies has the honor and pleasure of presenting its first new publication, dedicated to his memory.
🏛 This is the monograph “Study of Architectural Elements from the Sanctuary of Poseidon in Ancient Messene” by our distinguished colleague Maria Tsioutsia, who, through a systematic presentation and morphological analysis of the scattered architectural members, seeks to interpret, identify, and document the form of the Temple of Poseidon, shedding light on a particularly fascinating historical period for Messene and its architecture.
📖 This publication was made possible with the invaluable support of the Georgios and Victoria Karelia Foundation, to whom we extend our warmest thanks.
📚 For us, this publication is not merely the presentation of a book. It is a duty; it is the fulfillment of a promise we made: the stones of Messene will continue to speak to future generations, keeping knowledge alive and accessible to all, just as He envisioned.
