Performance of "Orpheus and Eurydice" at the Ancient Messene Theater

🏛 The Society for Messinian Archaeological Studies warmly and proudly embraces the performance of “Orpheus and Eurydice” at the evocative theater of ancient Messene.

🏛 Our company’s active support of the performance is a continuation of our steadfast commitment: to keep ancient Messene alive, accessible, and in constant dialogue with contemporary art.
🏛 For us, the revitalization of an archaeological site does not end with excavation and conservation/restoration. It is complete when these premier venues for sight and sound once again engage with the contemporary audience, fulfilling their original purpose: to serve as cradles of culture, education, and shared experience.
🌟 The universal myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, an ode to absolute love and the triumph of art over death, resonates with ancient theater, proving that our monuments can inspire, move, and unite people today, just as they did in the past.
👏 We warmly congratulate the Athens Concert Hall, its president, and everyone involved for the honor they have bestowed upon us for the third consecutive year.
👏 We would like to extend our special thanks to the sponsors and supporters of this wonderful event.

✨️ We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday (July 11) to share in this unique cultural evening.
